2021 Jeep Cherokee

Luxurious Interior Comfort

The 2021 Jeep Cherokee is a compact crossover SUV that has improved its cabin design from last year. The latest upgrade offers passengers comfort due to its higher window seals and smaller windows. The cabin has plush seating offering minimal outside noise and plenty of legroom compared to other vehicles.

The 8.5inches infotainment system is built as a central system for various devices and functions within the Cherokee. It offers access to satellite radio, AM/FM radio, Bluetooth, and more. Many of the menu functions are available through the touchscreen. Also, control knobs and voice interaction technology allow sound and system adjustments to limit driver distractions.

The new Cherokee has front seats that are equipped with both heating and ventilation capabilities. Whether the body temperature is hot or cold, front passengers can successfully regulate their body temperatures with these updates.

There is dual-zone climate control offered that allows either side of the cabin to switch the heating and cooling without imposing the other's climate. The added control boosts the passenger experience by improving temperature efficiency and saves on gas mileage.

Engine Performance & Fuel Economy

Jeep designed the engine performance of the Cherokee to reach its maximum capabilities. It is loaded with the standard 2.0L Turbo engine. The base model's turbocharged engine provides 270 hp, producing 295 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Together, it allows the Cherokee to get just over 37km in the city and slightly less than 50 km on the highway per four liters of gas.

The new Cherokee comes in the following available trims: Latitude, Latitude Plus, Latitude Lux, the Trailhawk, and the Limited.

Some trims offer a 2.4L Tigershark Multiair 2 engine. The 2.4L engine can get just over 35km in the city per four liters of gas. The 3.2L Pentastar V6 engine is also available on higher trims of the new Cherokee.

Safety Features

Jeep includes Full-Speed Collision Warning technology, which uses a series of sensors to monitor oncoming traffic and proximity. It determines if the Cherokee is subject to a collision. If so, it will bring the Cherokee to a complete stop with its Active Braking system.

Also, there is Lanesense Lane Departure Warning expertise. Lanesense alerts the driver of an indication of an unwarranted lane shift through soft chimes. The Cherokee may auto-correct itself, meaning that it will reposition itself within the driving lane.

The Cherokee offers its electric stability control system. It will aid the driver by maintaining control during travel, adding a layer of oversite for all passengers' safety.

Blindspot monitoring and rear cross-path detection utilize rear sensors to detect a vehicle in the driver's blind spot, keeping the Cherokee from collisions. Tire Fill Alert is a mechanism in which an audible sound activates to notify of the air pressure reaching a safe level.
